Several solutions for network security can be offered to our
customers. Most will require that they are secure from both
inside and outside sources. Inside sources are a concern because
the most common security breaches come from the inside. For
example, the person who opens every piece of email received
whether it claims to be business related or a naked picture of
Pamela Lee Anderson, this person who in the process of playing
pen pal infects the entire network with the worst virus of the
year. Or how about the nice secretary in the rear office who
saves blank documents to a three-year-old database which they
should not be accessing in the first place. These are the kinds
of people who cost corporations thousands of dollars because they
cannot follow proper protocol. Simply telling a user not to touch
a file only makes that user more apt to find a way to do
so.
However, there are also those companies who need to worry about
unauthorized outside access. Maybe a disgruntled ex-employee who
just so happened to get a hold of the servers address, they may
decide that if you do not want them working there then your
company should not be up and running.
If any of these examples seem to hit home, TDS has your solution.
